The Silo Soft Oxford is a new fabric for one of our most popular styles - the oxford cloth button down (OCBD). Incredibly soft for an oxford, the Silo Soft Oxford is cut from a two-ply 100 yarn count fabric, and briefly finished to give it an even better hand-feel and wearability. If you're curious, this fabric is heavier than the Silo Air Oxford, and a touch heavier than the Silo Chambray (though a tighter weave).
The OCBD has always been an iconic style in men's clothing, and the Silo is on trend for today: beautiful fabric, great fit, and easy to incorporate into your own personal style. The Hugh & Crye Silo OCBD features a button-down collar and single button barrel cuff for subtle sophistication. The Silo Soft Oxford comes in five colorways - white, pink, light gray, charcoal, and blue. This is the white colorway.

Fabric

It has an extra long staple, which means it has longer fibers, resulting in a silkier, more durable fabric. The traditional oxford cloth is a type of basketweave where multiple weft threads are crossed over an equal number of warp threads. The threads are usually of a single color crossed with a white to give the oxford its unique, checkerboard appearance. It can be worn casually or professionally depending on the thread count and finish.
