Gant began as a shirtmaker in 1949 and has been evolving ever since. It introduced colourful Oxford shirts to its collection in the 50s, becoming a favourite with Ivy Leaguers, but you don’t need a Harvard degree to pull off these timeless pieces.

 

This Girls Knit Sweater, in a wool and cotton blend, is produced in China and draws its style inspiration from those East Coast collegiate sweaters. Features a rounded neckline, drop shoulders, an allover pattern of contrasting stripes with varying sizes, an intarsia-knit GIRLS graphic across the chest and ribbing along the edges.
